TCHS CROSS COUNTRY COMPETE AT 2 MEETS IN BUSY WEEK

KEYSER – The Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country team traveled to Keyser on Tuesday August 24th.

In the Girls’ race Erin Chambers took the top position as she finished first with a time of 22:42.50.  Overall Lady Mt. Lions Results: 1st-Erin Chambers(22:42.50), 7th-Katie Hicks(25:51.22), 11th-Hannah Hardy(27:03.17), 17th-Brianna Gooden(31:09.59), 18th-Kristen Hicks(32:43.47), 21st-Addie Hicks(34:17.94) and 24th-Tessa Jolly(47:04.82).

The top finisher for the Tucker County Boys’ team was Clay Poling with a 12th place finish with a time of 22:29.01. Overall Mt. Lions Boys’ Results:  12th-Clay Poling(22:29.01), 13th-Trent Eure(23:30.96), 15th-

Wesley Strawderman(25:01.10), 16th-Haden Wamsley(25:24.84) and 19th-Alan Boyles(28:02.65).

CLARKSBURG – The Mt. Lions Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country team traveled to Robert C Byrd on Saturday August 28th for the Flying Eagles Invitational.

The top finisher for the Tucker County Boys’ team was Devin Witemore with a 24th place finish as he posted a time of 21:40.89. Mt. Lions Boys’ Results:  24th-Devin Witemore(21:40.98), 34th-Haden Wamsley(22:26.42), 35th-Trent Eure(22:47.60), 47th-Clay Poling(23:53.88), 53rd-Ethan McCrum(25:06.65), 54th-Wesley Strawderman(25:24.85) and 58th-Alan Boyles(26:54.82).

In the Girls’ race Erin Chambers was the top runner for Tucker County with a 3rd place finish with a time of 21:41.23.  Overall Lady Mt. Lions Results: 3rd-Erin Chambers(22:41.23), 12th-Katie Hicks(22:47.23), 17th-Hannah Hardy(23:33.61), 44th-Kristen Hicks(29:32.42), 47th-Brianna Gooden(30:22.24), 55th-Addie Hicks(32:54.06) and 61st-Tessa Jolly(40:00.00).

 

The Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country teams will return to action on Saturday September 11th at D & E College in Elkins for the Forrest Festival Invitational at 8am.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
