The Tucker County High School cheerleading squad delivered an electric performance Saturday afternoon at Lincoln High School during the Region II Class A Cheer Competition.
The Mt. Lions took the floor with high energy, impressing judges and spectators alike. Their 40-second technical cheer was executed with precision, and the squad hit every element of their two-minute-and-thirty-second routine, from sharp motions to powerful tumbling and crowd-pleasing stunts.
Their hard work paid off as the Tucker County cheerleaders earned the title of Regional Runners-Up, securing a well-deserved spot at the West Virginia State Cheer Competition.
The state competition will be held on November 19 at 10 a.m. in the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center, where the Mt. Lions will represent Tucker County among the best Class A cheer teams in West Virginia.
The high school competition team coached by head coach Kristen Pennington and assistant coach Daniele Pennington consists of: Rileigh Russell, Michelle Louk, Isabel Bennett, Hailey Supak, Jaden Cross, Joanna Leary, Rachel Cummings, Alissa Hebb, Adalea Bonner, Madison Carr, Delainey Rhodes, and Ava Henderson (as pictured).
