TUCKER COUNTY CROSS COUNTRY OPENS SEASON AT ST. MARYS

  1. MARYS – The Mt. Lions Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country team opened the season on Saturday August 20th as they competed at the Autumn Classic at St. Marys High School.

 

In the Girls’ race 156 runners competed in the event.  Erin Chambers was the top finisher for the Lady Mt. Lions with an 8th place finish and a time of 20:24.00.  Katie Hicks(21:10.03) finished 15th, Addie Moats(22:27.66) placed 32nd, Hannah Hardy(23:19.50) was 47th and Brianna Hardy finished in 104th place.  The Tucker County Girls’ team finished 5th overall out of 17 teams.

 

The Tucker County Boys’ team took to the course next as the Boys’ race featured 143 runners overall.  The top runner for the Mt. Lions was Cameron Judy with 25th place finish and a time of 19:00.07.  The remaining Tucker County runners finished as foillows: 37th-Nate Ricottilli(19:30.51), 60th-Alex Boyles(20:45.15), 68th-Allan Boyles(21:07.05) and 99th-Lynk Suesli(23:11.95).  The Mt. Lions finished 5th overall out of 17 teams.

 

The Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country teams will return to action on Saturday September 3rd at Buckhannon-Upshur.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
