Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country Update

The Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Cross Country teams have been busy this fall. On September 29th both teams competed in the Buccaneer Invitational at Buckhannon Upshur. Madison Reall was the top finisher for the Lady Mt. Lions with a 10th place finish and a time of 24:04 in a race that featured 36 runners. Other finishers for Tucker County were Natalie Evans 13th with a 24:45, Jenna White 24th with a 27:43, Mikala Betler placed 27th with a 28:49 and Bella Zais was 34th with a 33:36. In the Boys’ race there was 48 runners competing. Joesph Lewandowski was the top finisher for Tucker County with a 8th place finish and a time of 19:07. Times for the remaining Mt. Lions are as follows; 17th, John Anderson 20:34, 21st, Jack Melnik, 31st, Noah Nelson 22:22, 33rd, Jonathan Rhodes 22:32, 34th, Chris Chambers 22:32.50 and 35th, Ryan Hart 23:07.

On October 3rd the Boys’ team traveled to Grafton for an 11 team meet which featured a total of 99 runners. The Boys’ team took home 8th place with an overall score of 200. Joesph Lewandowski was the top finisher for Tucker County with a 36th place finish and a time of 19:55. Times for the remaining Mt. Lions were as follows; Jack Melnik 21:11, Josh Kincaid 21:15, Jonathan Rhodes 21:16, John Anderson 21:16.05, Ryan Hart 22:03, Noah Nelson 22:36.

The Girls’ and Boys’ teams were scheduled to compete in the PVC Championship Meet at 4pm on October 13th at Frankfort High School. Then they will travel to Grafton on October 22nd for the Regional Meet. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
