CLARKSBURG – The Mt. Lion Golf team traveled to Clarksburg Country Club to play in a Tournament hosted by Notre Dame on Monday August 22nd. Notre Dame picked up the team win with a score of 165 followed by Tucker County with a score of 193. South Harrison and Clay-Battelle only had one golfer each compete. Tucker County freshmen Nathan Dearborn led Tucker County with a 45, Carleigh Bolyard had a 47, Conner Nestor finished with a 49 and freshmen Myles Paugh came in with a 52 to round out the Mt. Lion scoring.
CANAAN VALLEY – Tucker County hosted three other teams on Thursday August 25th at Canaan Valley Resort. Southern and Trinity finished ahead of Tucker County in the match with a 159 and 183 score. Tucker County ended the match with a team score of 188 and Union, Northern did not have enough golfers to qualify as a team. Carleigh Bolyard led Tucker County with a 43, followed by Conner Nestor and Corrick Ambrose with a 48 each, Easton Snyder 49, Myles Paugh 54 and Nathan Dearborn had a 55.
Tucker County will return to action tonight August 31st at Trinity at 4pm and then travel to Keyser next Wednesday September 7th for a 5 team match at 4pm. For more info and go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
