KEYSER – The Mt. Lion Golf team traveled to Keyser to play at Polish Pines Golf Course last Wednesday September 7th. The Tucker County team finished third in the event with a team score of 196. Conner Nestor led Tucker County with a score of 47 while Carleigh Bolyard was close behind with a score of 48. Corrick Ambrose finished with a score of 50 and freshman Myles Paugh closed out the scoring for Tucker County with a 51.
Petersburg’s Nick Fleming was low medalist with a score of 38 and Petersburg finished first as a team with a combined score of 175. Moorefield finished second with a team score of 187 followed by Keyser(209) and Frankfort finished fourth and fifth respectfully.
Tucker County will host a match at Canaan Valley on Thursday September 15th and then they will host the PVC Championship at Canaan Valley on Monday September 19th starting at 10am. For more Tucker County sports info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
