CAMP KIDD – The Lady Mt. Lions Softball team hosted Keyser for a double header on Tuesday April 11th. The Lady Tornado’s collected 24 hits in the first contest as they scored 15 runs in the 1st inning, 15 in the 2nd inning and 8 runs in the 3rd to get the win 38-0. In the second contest Keyser scored 2 in the 1st inning, 5 in the 2nd inning and 4 runs in the 3rd inning to win 11-1.


KINGWOOD – Tucker County traveled to Preston on Wednesday April 12th for a double header against the Lady Knights. In the first game Preston held the Lady Mt. Lions without a hit to take the contest 12-2. Melanie Adams collected 2 stolen bases in the game for Tucker County.

The second game would be better for the Lady Mt. Lions as they collected 3 hits, but could not get the win as they fell in the game 9-3. Lauren Cockerham led Tucker County in batting as she went 2 for 3 with a single, double and 2 stolen bases. Melanie Adams chipped in with 1 single for Tucker County in the loss.

Tucker County will return to action on tonight at home for a double header against Notre Dame at 4:30pm and 6:30pm. The Lady Mt. Lions will then travel to East Hardy on April 20th for a double header at 4:30pm and 6:30pm start. For a complete schedule or more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
