HAMBLETON – This week, Tucker County High School will host a Basketball Holiday Tournament for the first time in decades.  On Wednesday December 28th and Thursday December 29th the Mt. Storm Power Station Holiday Classic will be taking place at TCHS.  The Dominion Energy owned Power plant stepped up to become the main sponsor for the event.  This partnership will continue beyond this year as the Athletic Department at TCHS plans to continue this Holiday Tournament for years to come.  The plan is to add a Boys’ division next season and expand the Tournament to three days in the future.

This year the first day December 28th will get started with a first round Girls’ Basketball game at 5:45pm between James Monroe and Frankfort.  The other first round game will follow the first game at around 7:15pm between Tucker County and Union.  On December 29th the day will get started with a JV contest between Tucker County and Union at 4pm.  Then the Consolation game will be played at 5:45pm and the Championship game will be played around 7:15pm after the Consolation game.

Come out and enjoy some Holiday Basketball close to home on December 28th and 29th.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com
