CHARLESTON – Members of the Tucker County Girls’ and Boys’ Track teams traveled to the State Track Meet in Charleston on Friday May 18th and Saturday May 19th at Laidley Field. Both teams performed well as the Boys’ team captured 20 medals and the Girls’ team collected 14 medals for a total of 34 medals by both teams.
The Boys’ team captured a State Championship in the Shuttle Hurdle Relay event and the Girls’ Shuttle Hurdle Relay team captured a State Runner-Up finish. Sydney Moore also got a State Championship in the 300m Hurdles and the Girls’ 4x200m and 4x400m Relay teams took home State Runner-Up medals as well. The Girls’ team finished the Meet in 6th place with 35 points and the Boys’ team took 7th place with a total of 29 total points.
