TUCKER VALLEY BOYS’ BASKETBALL UPDATE

The Tucker Valley Middle School Boys’ Varsity Basketball team traveled to Central Preston for the Championship game of the Holiday Tournament on Tuesday January 2nd against Southern Garrett Middle. The Wildcats took fell in the contest by the final score of 52-30. Zach Long led Tucker Valley with 11 points and Bryson Harper added 8 points for the Wildcats in the loss.


On Saturday January 6th Tucker Valley hosted Davis-Thomas at Tucker County High School for a JV and Varsity contests. In the first game the Wildcats JV team took the victory by the final score of 54-32. Ashton Lycliter led Tucker Valley with 17 points and Rory Nestor had 10 points for the Wildcats in the win. In the varsity contest Tucker Valley fell in a close contest as Davis-Thomas hit a jumper as time expired to give the Bears the win 39-37. Zach Long led all scorers with 23 points and Wesley Strawderman added 7 points for Tucker Valley in the loss.

The Wildcats(6-4) will travel to Petersburg on Thursday January 11th and the JV team will host Kasson on Monday January 15th. For more info or complete schedules go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
