TUCKER VALLEY BOYS’ FALL IN PVL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

CAPON BRIDGE – The Tucker Valley Boys’ Varsity Basketball team traveled to Capon Bridge on Tuesday February 22nd to face Petersburg in the Semi-Finals of the PVL Playoffs.  The Wildcats jumped out to a 12-9 lead after one quarter and Tucker Valley then extended the lead to 27-16 after the second quarter. The third and fourth quarter was controlled by the Wildcats as they pulled away for a 48-25 victory to move on to the Championship game.

Mikey Mitchell led Tucker Valley with 19 points and Xander Lambert had 9 points in the win for the Wildcats.  

 

CAPON BRIDGE – The Wildcats Varsity Boys Basketball team traveled back to Capon Bridge on Friday to play against East Hardy for the PVL Championship.  The game was intense throughout as the score after one quarter was 4-3 East Hardy.  Tucker Valley surged back in the second quarter to claim a 13-12 lead at the halftime break.  The Wildcats then built a 25-19 lead after three quarters of play.  East Hardy then made a run in the fourth as they outscored Tucker Valley 14-3 in the final period to claim the victory by the score of 33-28.

 

Tucker Valley finished the season with a 19-1 record.
