PARSONS – The Wildcats football team hosted Petersburg Middle last Wednesday October 12th for the last home game of the season. Tucker Valley was unable to get their offense moving all evening and turned the ball over 6 times to drop the contest 36-0.
Petersburg got on the score board first as they led early 7-0. Tucker Valley struggled to move the ball and Petersburg took the ball back with good field position. The visiting Vikings would score again to lead after one quarter 14-0.
The Wildcats continued to struggle on offense in the second quarter and Petersburg continued to roll as they collected another 2 touchdowns on interception returns to make the score at the half 34-0.
In the second half Tucker Valley or Petersburg could not sustain drives as the score remained 34-0 Petersburg at the end of three quarters. In the fourth quarter the score remained the same until the Vikings recorded a safety to push the score to 36-0. Neither team scored the rest of the contest to make the final score 36-0 Petersburg. Tucker Valley 8th grade football players, support staff and cheerleaders were honored before the game.
