TUCKER VALLEY GIRLS’ BASKETBALL OPEN SEASON WITH 2 GAME WEEK

HAMBLETON – The Lady Wildcats Basketball team opened up their season at home on Friday December 10th with JV and Varsity against Petersburg.

In the first game the Tucker Valley JV team fell by the score of 36-5.  Ava Wilfong and Aleyah Jackson led the Lady Wildcats JV with 2 points each.

The Tucker Valley Girls’ Varsity team played well in the last game of the night, but they came up short as Petersburg took the contest by the final score of 34-28.  The Lady Wildcats were led in scoring by Makenna Evans with 17 points and Maddy Helmick added 9 points for Tucker Valley in the loss.

HAMBLETON – The Tucker Valley Lady Wildcats faced off in a varsity only contest against Davis-Thomas at the TCHS Gym on Saturday December 11th.

The Lady Wildcats pulled away in the third quarter to get the win over the Lady Bears 27-19.  Tucker Valley was led in scoring by Makenna Evans with 11 points and Peyton Hicks added 8 points in the Lady Wildcats win.

 

Tucker Valley will return to action on Thursday December 16th at home against East Hardy.  The Lady Wildcats will then host Capon Bridge on Friday December 17th with action starting at 6pm both nights.  On Monday December 20th Tucker Valley will host Pendleton County at 5:30pm.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
