The Lady Wildcats traveled to Elkins to open the season last Wednesday Dec 4th. The JV team started the evening with a close game with the Lady Hornets as Elkins held a slim 10-8 lead at the half. The game was close in the second half and Elkins picked up the close victory in the end by the final score of 28-26. McKinley Murphy led the Tucker Valley JV squad with 11 points and Kelcee Jones added 6 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Tucker Valley Girls’ varsity team came out hot and took a commanding lead at the half 22-9. The Lady Hornets had no answer for the Lady Wildcats as Tucker Valley got the convincing road win 41-21. Sydney Nestor finished with 16 points 3 steals and 6 rebounds for Tucker Valley and Dominique Meadows added 10 points and 10 rebounds.
