TUCKER VALLEY SOFTBALL UPDATE

The Tucker Valley Middle School Softball team traveled to Glenville State on Thursday April 12th for a double header against Gilmer County and then against Collins Middle.


In the first contest Gilmer County took the victory by the final score of 9-1. Cheyenne Gooden, Shaleigh Darlington and Corrinia Lipscomb each had 1 hit each in the loss.

In the second game Tucker Valley played against Collins Middle and picked up the victory 13-1. Kate Simmons earned the victory for the Lady Wildcats on the mound. Simmons gave up 1 run and allowed just 2 hits in the contest as she struck out 3 batters. Tory Paul, Kate Simmons, Shaleigh Darlington, Paige Shaffer and Rachel Fulton led Tucker Valley at the plate with 2 hits each. Simmons and Darlington scored 3 runs each in the contest as the game was ended early due to the mercy rule.
