BRIDGEPORT – The Area’s biggest Middle School Meet The Harry Green Invitational took place on Saturday May 10th at Bridgeport High School. The Tucker Valley Girls’ and Boys’ Track teams competed along with 15 other Middle Schools throughout the area. The Lady Wildcats finished the meet with a 4th place finish overall. Sydney Moore led the Tucker Valley Girls’ team with a 1st place finish in the High Jump and was a member of the 4x400m Relay team that finished 1st overall. Moore also captured 2nd place in the 400m and took 3rd in the 800m event. Sydney Nestor also had a strong showing taking 1st place in the Long Jump and helping take 1st place on the 4x400m Relay team as well. Nestor also placed 3rd in the 200m event. Other members of the Girls’ 1st place 4x400m Relay team were Heather Howell and Kenzi Pitzer.
The Boys’ team finished 12th overall in the Meet. The 4x800m Relay team consisting of Luke Poling, Austin Lawrence, Brett Reall and Ben Cromer took home 1st place in the event. The 4x400m Relay team finished 4th overall as that team was made up of Brett Reall, Cameron Wamsley, Austin Lawrence and Luke Poling. Luke Poling took 4th place in the 400m event and Austin Lawrence finished 4th in the 800m open. Here is the list of results for the Tucker Valley athletes:
