Tucker County traveled to Mill Creek last Friday to take on the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs and came back home with 68-0 win. Fueled primarily by a stout defensive effort that included five interceptions, three fumble recoveries, and two safeties. Tucker held Tygarts Valley to 113 total yards in the contest while amassing over 350 for the Mt. Lions. Tucker was led on the ground by running back, Jared Reall, who finished the night with 13 carries, 124 yards, and five rushing touchdowns. Reall also added a receiving touchdown on the night. Tucker started the night hot and never looked back scoring on all seven of their possessions in the first half which included a 52-yard pass from quarterback, Sam Marks, to receiver, Reid Kisamore. Marks also added another rushing touchdown on the ground and 132 yards passing. On the defensive side of the ball, Tucker was led by senior outside linebacker, Garrett Wilfong, with 5 1/2 tackles, one for a loss, two interceptions, and one fumble recovery. Linebacker, Marky Phillips, and defensive end, Luke Barb, each had a safety in the bout. With the win, the Mt. Lions improve to 2-0 on the season and they will return home next Friday, September 13 to face the Cougars of East Hardy.
