TUCKER’S PAIGE SHAFFER NAMED PVC DIVISION 2 PLAYER OF THE YEAR

The Softball Potomac Valley Division 2 All Conference was announced on May 31st.  The Lady Mt. Lions Paige Shaffer was named to the 1st team and Shaffer was also named PVC Division 2 Player of the Year.  Tucker County Seniors Kristen Hicks and Cheyenne Gooden and Freshman Ava Shaffer were also on the 1st team list.  

The Lady Mt. Lions also placed 2 players on the 2nd team in Rachel Felton and Autumn Russell.  Here is the complete list of 2022 Softball Division 2 All-PVC:

1st team – Paige Shaffer(Tucker County), Kristen Hicks(Tucker County), Cheyenne Gooden(Tucker County), Ava Shaffer(Tucker County), Braylee Corbin(Peterburg), Mickala Taylor(Petersburg), MacKenzie Kitzmiller(Petersburg), Sammy Colaw(Petersburg), Emma Heishman(East Hardy), Gabbie Miller(East Hardy), Lizzie Alt(Pendleton County), Macaden Taylor(Pocahontas County).

2nd team – Vickie Ames(Easy Hardy), Autumn Crites(East Hardy), Tori Pratt(East Hardy), Baylee Beachler(Pendleton County), Emma Riffe(Pocahontas County), Kelsi Taylor(Pocahontas County), Kendall Cutright(Tygarts Valley), Brenlyn Swecker((Tygarts Valley), Rachel Felton(Tucker County), Autumn Russell(Tucker County).

Player of the Year: Paige Shaffer, Tucker County.  Coach of the Year: Bubba Hedrick, Petersburg.
