Tucker Valley baseball took to the road for both of their games this past week. To start the week, they traveled to West Preston Middle School. Tucker and West were deadlocked at two runs each. The score remained unchanged in the second, but in the bottom of the third, the Panthers put five runs up on Tucker to go up 7-2. Tucker would get three more at the top of the fifth inning, but it wouldn’t be enough, as they would take the loss 12-5. Wade Boyles led the way at the plate for the Wildcats with three hits, along with two hits each from Rylan Sexton, Asher Kisamore, and Luke Lantz.
Tucker Valley then made the short trip over to Buckhannon to take on the BUMS Pirates. Tucker got up 1-0 to start the game; however, the lead didn’t last long, as BUMS knocked in 12 runs in the bottom of the inning. Tucker would fail to send another runner home and succumb to the Pirates 16-1. Tucker put the bat on the ball just three times, as Kisamore, Quinton Teter, and Tristan Pitzer all had one hit.
The Wildcats will return to play on Tuesday, May 5, as they travel to Bruceton Middle School.
