Wildcat Softball Drops Pair of Games to Pendleton and Elkins

Tucker Valley Softball competed twice over the past week, first off taking on the Pendleton County Wildcats on April 21st. Tucker would battle throughout the contest hanging tough with a score of 4-3 after the first inning. Pendleton would begin to pull away, outscoring Tucker 7-0 in the second, 8-4 in the third and 3-0 in the fourth to take the win at a final score of 22-7. Mia Lambert went 3-3 at the plate scoring 1 run, Morgan Simmons went 2-3 scoring 1 run and Jacey Helmick went 2-3 scoring 1 run.

The Wildcats then took on Elkins Middle. Tucker would trail by 1 run 3-2 after the first inning, Tucker would go scoreless in the 2nd and score just 1 run in the third, to fall behind 13-3 after 3 innings of play. The Wildcats would manage 5 runs in the 4th but Elkins would knock in 6 for a final score of 19-8 in favor of the Hornets. Mia Lambert would lead the way in scoring 3 runs for the Wildcats in the contest.

The Wildcats will be back on the diamond on Friday May 2nd at home against Taylor County, first pitch is set for 5:30pm.
