Wildcats Sweep in JV; Varsity Fights Back to Take the Win Against Tygarts Valley Bulldogs

The Wildcats faced off against the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs in an exciting night of volleyball action, with both the JV and varsity teams showcasing a solid effort.

The JV Wildcats came out strong, dominating both sets to secure the win. The first set ended 25-9 in favor of the Wildcats, followed by a 25-13 victory in the second. Leading the scoreboard were Kennedy Aker and Maci Owens, who both delivered impressive plays throughout the match. In the second set, Owens took charge with several key serves and hits that kept the Bulldogs on their heels.

Defensively, Maci Owens and Avery Decker stood out with multiple saves.

The varsity matchup proved to be a nail-biter, with the Wildcats rallying back after dropping the first set 16-25 to Tygarts Valley. The team regrouped and fought hard to win the next two sets, 25-16 and 25-20, securing the overall victory.

Top scorers for the first set were Mia Lambert and Ally Wright, who provided strong offensive pushes despite the loss. In the second set, Ally Wright and Brooklee Hebb powered the Wildcats’ comeback with consistent serving and smart plays. The final set saw Marlee Evans step up as a top scorer and one of the team’s most effective servers.

Throughout all three sets, Brooklee Hebb was a defensive force, making several key saves and hustling across the court. Ally Wright also contributed multiple crucial saves, while Marlee Evans and Mia Lambert delivered powerful spikes.
