Edward Smith Kepner, 65, of Thomas, WV died October 7, 2015 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born March 29, 1950 in Parsons, WV. He is survived by his father, Edward Ralph Kepner and he was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Rose Hockman Kepner. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Rhonda Joyce Kepner and 1 son, Edward Grant Kepner, Thomas, WV, 2 stepsons, Robert Dennis Ramsey, JR., Beverly, WV, and Christopher Shawn Ramsey, Elkins, WV, 5 grandchildren by marriage, Chantelle and Christopher Smith, Brittany and Derek Woods, and Victor Serrett. He was preceded in death by one stepson, Victor Wayne “Bumper” Ramsey.

Mr. Kepner was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Core. He worked as a coal miner. He was a member of the VFW, FOE 936, and UMWA Local 9909. He was an avid Mountaineers fan, Yankees fan, and Green Bay Packers fan. His numerous family and friends will never be forgotten. He was a true friend to everyone.

Friends were received at Hinkle Funeral Home, Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services were held 2 p.m., Sunday, October 11, 2015 in Hinkle Funeral Chapel with Rev. Neal Parsons officiating. Interment followed in the Davis Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
