Last week’s photo was of William A. Knotts (1856-1933) and his wife, Elizabeth Ann Canan Knotts (1872-1937), daughter of Martin Van Buren Canan.
William and Elizabeth lived in the Sugarlands Area. He was a farmer and grew a lot of vegetables, apples, and made cider. He would take his produce around to the mining towns (Pierce, Benbush, Davis-Thomas Area) and sell it. William and his first wife Clara Fansler had two children: Harvey and Albert. William and Elizabeth had fourteen children: Homer, Ethel, Wilbur, Claude, Earl, Arthur, Marvin, Dewey, Delton, Rose, Sylvia, Blanche, Mabel, and Walter. I am not sure of the identity of this family but it could be someone related to the Filler’s. Ideas or comments contact Tim Turner (304) 478-3389
