He went to Woodberry Church of the Brethren for 30 years and became a member of the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren when he moved to West Virginia.  He was a volunteer fire fighter at Mt. Grove.  He taught all his loved ones how to drive and they all passed with tears.  He loved to play his guitar, banjo and mandolin.  He had a part in raising several family members.  He has one daughter (Sandy), one niece (Teresa), five grandchildren; Cindy, Dusty, Laurie, Robby, Brian and nine great grandchildren; London, Sklar, Tyler, Brian, Brandon, Dylan, Maverick, Andrew and Margo.  He was proceeded in death by brother, Trenton; sisters, Elma, Arlene, Normalee and Florence; niece Ruth Ann Peterson; son-in-law, Leroy; sons, Robert and David; mother, Lottie Kight, Homer Kight, wife Shirley.
