Congressman Mooney visited Five Rivers Public Library in Parsons, WV. He donated books from the Library of Congress Program to celebrate putting 500 books in libraries of their choosing. Mooney stated, “Reading is very important for our children’s future.” Also joining Congressman Mooney was Commissioner Randall Reid-Smith from the WV Division of Culture and History and serves as the Governor’s Curator for the West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture and History. Randall Reid-Smith delivered books donated by Governor Justice. Reid-Smith encourages the public to use their local library. Library Director Nancy Moore and Library Board President Dennis Filler gave Mooney and Reid-Smith a tour of the library. They explained the services and resources that are available to the community.
