The DT volleyball teams faced off against the Petersburg Vikings in a hard-fought matchup.
The JV squad battled in two sets but ultimately could not overcome the Vikings’ strong play. DT dropped the first set 14-25, with Addison Fansler contributing three points. The second set ended 7-25, with Bella Paugh adding one point for the team.
The varsity contest was competitive, especially in the second set. DT lost the opening set 17-25, with Harper Wilt tallying two points. In a thrilling second set, DT pushed the Vikings to the limit before falling 23-25. Elizabeth DelSignore led with five points, while Stella Johnson chipped in three points.
The Lady Bears will be back on the court on Monday, Sept. 21, at West Preston Middle.
