The Parsons Senior Center Outpost was held at the Senior Center on March 4, 2014.

Evelyn Moore welcomed everyone to the program. Everyone gave the Lord’s Prayer in unison, the Pledge of Allegiance and sang West Virginia Hills.

Meg Buddingh read the minutes from the February meeting and were approved.

March Birthdays are Jim Buddingh, Mary Grado, Virginia Popio and Earl Moore.

Judy Fairbanks read “ Marvels of March”; “ No Irish Need Apply” by Janet Streets; “ I’ll Wear a Shamrock” by Arlene Ramsey; “Ireland” by Linda Bonner; “The Legend of the Shamrock”, “Spring Rain” by Evelyn Moore.

Sam introduced representatives of Hospice, Pastor Bryan Headley, Annette Wilfong and Darla Amtower, who explained their services.

Pastor Bryan Headley presented a program in comedy and song. He started out with “Dashing Through the Snow”, “Jingle Bells”, “In the Garden’, “I’ll Fly Away”, “ When We All Get to Heaven”, “Amazing Grace”, Blessed Assurance”, “ When the Roll is Called Up Yonder”, “Jesus Loves Me”, and “The King is Coming”.

Sam thanked everyone that helped at the center. Some activities through the week are knitting classes, dancing, quilting on Thursday and Bowling on Friday. Tuesday is Bingo day, something for everyone.

Everyone sang “:God Bless America” and gave the Blessing for the food together before a delicious lunch.

Those present were: Eldred bright, Dorothy Simpson, Linda Bonner, Connie Feather, Arlene Ramsey, Rosale Moore, Susan Cross, Ida Workman, Lois Miller, Virginia Popio, Janet Streets, Betty Nestor, Merry Lowe, David & Rita Roberts, Evelyn Moore, Meg Buddingh, Howard Moore, Marlena Moore, Burl & Sandra mason, Judy Fairbanks, Sharon Daniels, Kathryn Snyder, Shirley Cassidy, Raymond Collins, Jane Parsons, Virgil Knotts, Jr., Diane Dilly, Annette Wilfong, Ernest Turner, Darla Amtower, Bryan Headley, Robert Gould, Vera Lipscomb, Buddy Arnold, Mary Grado, Susan Cross
