Sentences Handed Down for Three Tucker Residents

Ten individuals were sentenced in US District Court, in Elkins, by Chief Judge John Preston Bailey on methamphetamine-related drug charges.

In a press release from the office of United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II it was reported that of the ten, three are Tucker County residents.

Eric Scott Pennington, 30, of Parsons, was sentenced to 97 months in prison and three years of supervised release. Pennington was originally indicted on ten counts related to the manufacture of methamphetamine. Pennington was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshall pending designation to a Federal institution.

Michael Luther White, 22, of Thomas, was sentenced to 30 months in prison and three years of supervised release. He was originally indicted on two counts related to the manufacture of methamphetamine. White is out on bond but will self-report to the designated Federal institution.

Misty Autumn Grafton, 26, of Hambleton, was sentenced to five years probation for “Possession of Pseudoephedrine to be Used in the Manufacture of Methamphetamine.”

All cases were investigated by the Tucker County Sheriff’s Department, the US Forest Service and the West Virginia State Police.
