Parsons Senior Center outpost met December 3, 2024. Linda Bonner welcomed everyone, led the Lord’s Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. The group sang “God Bless America”.
Everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to Pete Kuhn and Eleanor Nestor who have December birthdays. Sharon Daniels gave a history of “Bingo” and Eleanor Nestor read “A Day of Ice”. Linda Bonner gave a reading of “What do you do when it gets cold?”.
The seniors were delighted to listen to Ruth Bullwinkle playing the bells and Beverly Ellison accompanying on the piano. They played “Christmas Medley”, “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”, “The First Noel”, “Silent Night” and many wonderful old and new Christmas songs.
Door prizes were won by Rita Roberts, Dale Varner, Virginia Popio, Sharon Daniels, Beverly Ellison, and Deloris Kelley. Join us on December 19 starting at 10:30 for a Christmas program and special choir singing. The next Parsons Outpost will be January 7, 2025. The center will be closed December 24 and 25.
