St. George Holds Senior Outpost

The St. George monthly outpost of Senior Citizens met on August 18 , 2022. Betty Sturm played the piano as folks arrived and everyone enjoyed a lovely meal.  Sharon Daniels started show-n-tell by displaying her antique apple basket painting.   Lucille Adams showed a quilt she had made plus several painted gourds.  Delores Kelly showed her delicate crocheted items and Jane Pifer showed her numerous embroidery pieces.  Betty Sturm displayed an antique fiddle.  Carol Winstein ended the evening with several cute jokes.  Attending in addition to the above were  Ray Adams, Deborah Stiles, Arlene Ramsey, Jean Myers, Eldred Bright, Dorothy Simpson, Dale Varner, David Varner, Virginia Popio, Sue Carroll, Don Nestor, Norm Knighton, Carol Knighton, Brenda Jones, Sherri Smith, Shirley Cassidy, Pricilla Flanagan, Buddy Arnold, Lawrence Troska, and Eleanor Nestor. The Parsons Senior Center usually provides a van and seniors are always welcome to come, bring a covered dish, and bring a friend to the next gathering on September 15, 2022 at 6:00 pm at the St. George United Methodist Church for food, fun, and fellowship.
