Cortland Tree Lighting Ceremony
The Friends of Cortland invite residents to “Light Up A Life” in memory of, or to honor a loved one. A gift of $5 will light one bulb on Cortland’s Christmas tree. A donation of $50 will get you one of the lights on the star. These are limited so send in the requests as soon as possible. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6 in the dining room of Cortland Acres. All names and honorees will be printed in a book placed in the main dining room at Cortland Acres throughout the Christmas season. For information call 304-463-4181.

DAR Meeting

Blackwater Ministerial Association Thanksgiving Dinner
The Blackwater Ministerial Association will be sponsoring the annual Thanksgiving Dinner at the Thomas Educational Center, 324 Brown St., Thomas , at noon on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2015, all are welcome The meal includes Turkey, Stuffing, cranberry sauce, potatoes, gravy, green beans, dinner roll, coffee, punch, and pumpkin pie.
