Blood Drive

The Parsons Kiwanis Club a blood drive at the Parsons Senior Center on Monday, June 11 from 1 – 5:30 p.m. Call 1-800-733-2767 or visit redcrossblood.org and enter: parsonskiwanis to schedule an appointment.

TC Retired School Employees Meeting June 14

The Tucker County Association of Retired School Employees monthly meeting at noon on Thursday, June 14, at Little Andi’s Restaurant. All retirees are invited to attend. Discussions will include insurance and benefits.

Spaghetti Dinner

Parsons Church of God will have a spaghetti dinner and silent auction to benefit the trip to the National Junior Talent competition in Orlando, Florida on Sunday June 10, from 11 a.m. to 1p.m.. Donations

Historical Society meeting

The Tucker County Historical Society will meet Sunday, June 10 at 2 p.m. at the Tucker County Historical Society Museum in the Tucker County Annex at 501 Chestnut St., Parsons. Visitors welcome.

Yard Sale and Luncheon

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church will have a yard sale and luncheon on Friday and Saturday, June 8 and 9 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Bolivian and Youth Ministries.

Mountaintop Public Library Hours

Mountaintop Public Library Hours for June – August are Monday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Tuesday, Noon – 7 p.m.; Wednesday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Thursday, Noon – 7 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.; closed Saturday, Sunday and all legal holidays.

Circus

The Circus is Friday, June 8, at 5 and 7:30 p.m.
Tickets Available at Extention Office, Propts Citgo, Mt. Top Citgo and and Tucker County Information Center in Davis.
Advance tickets adults $10 kids and seniors $7 at the gate they will be $13 and $8. Sponsored by Tucker County Fair.

Full Board Meeting

The Region VI Workforce Development Full Board will meet Thursday, June 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the Marion County Convention Visitors Bureau located in Fairmont. The Great American Read

Join the Mountaintop Public Library for The Great American Read. Vote to choose the Mountain State’s favorite book at the Library orwvpublic.org. You may check out a book at the library or use WVREADS. Stop by the Library for more information.

Accident (WV) Community Association Meeting

The Accident (WV) Community Association’s annual meeting will be Tuesday, June 12, at 7 p.m. at the Cemetery. All members are encouraged to attend.
Donations, for the upkeep of the cemetery, can be made at the meeting or sent to Sharon Cassidy (Treasure)

Canaan Valley NWR Events

Saturday, June 9, 8am-12:30pm: Voyages in the Valley: Canoe/Kayak Launch Maiden Voyage Excursion. Join Americorp Zack Dykema as he leads a paddle up the Blackwater River using the new launch off of Camp 70 road. Bring your own boat .
Wednesday, June 13, 7 a.m., High Elevation Bird Walk. Join Herb Myers at the visitor center. We will drive to the top of Forest Road 80 and walk along the ridge of Cabin Mountain looking for our feathered friends.
