The following criminal complaint has been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate office:

Noah B. Shafron, of Wyckoff, NJ was charged with one felony count of Robbery or Attempted Robbery.  According to the complaint on Dec. 20 Deputy C.R. Summerfield and Sheriff J.E. Kopec of the Tucker County Sheriff’s office were dispatched to Grant County Bank in Davis for a bank robbery in progress by Tucker County Communications 911.  The officers arrived on scene with Sgt. V. Pyles and Cpl. J.J. Schmidle of the West Virginia State Police.  Officers entered the bank and discovered a male subject sitting in a chair in the lobby.

Officers requested the subject to show his hands and to lay face down on the floor and he was placed under arrest.  He did not have any identification with him, however, stated that his name was Noah Shafron.  He provided officers with his date of birth and stated that he was in the Q&A Program in Davis.  Pyles contacted the Q&A Program and obtained additional information on Shafron.  Bank employees provided the officers with a note that Shafron had allegedly given them.

The note stated, “This is a bank robbery, give me the money or else.”  Bank employees stated they requested him to leave the property and he refused.
