The following criminal complaint has been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
Kadeem Roderick Santiful, of Randallstown, Md. Was charged with one felony count of Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substance. According to the complaint, on Monday, Aug. 10, Sgt. S.P. Miller was conducting road patrol along US 48 near mile marker 48. He was following a black Ford Escape that was traveling at 73 mph in a 65 mph zone. He conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver by means of a Maryland driver’s license. Deputy/TFO D. Cale arrived with his K-9 unit and conducted an open-air sniff around said vehicle. He advised K-9 Eli provided a final response indicating that the odor of controlled substances or narcotics was present in the front bumper area of the vehicle.
Other officers arrived on scene a short time later and conducted probable cause search of the vehicle and found approximately 112 grams of a white powdery substance suspected to be fentanyl in the engine compartment of the vehicle. The estimated street value is approximately $14, 560 and $4,910 was concealed in the defendant’s groin area. Officers also found a set of digital scales covered in a white residue, a box of sandwich baggies and a vacuum sealer. All aforementioned items are consistent with drug sales and distribution.
