Smith Sisters Earn Degrees

Sarah Smith Roberts, at the left, and Elizabeth Smith, Tucker County High School graduates, earned their bachelors’ degrees recently; both with honors. They are daughters of Ken Smith of Parsons and Ruth Ann Smith of Thomas.

Both young women attended Davis & Elkins College in Elkins in the Upward Bound program and Sarah completed her freshman courses at D&E while her husband was deployed.

Residents of Ft. Sill, OK, Sgt. Ryan and Sarah Robeerts are the parents of three sons, Isaac, seven, Owen, four, and Connor, two. Mrs. Roberts completed her degree from Kaplan University with a major in nutrition science and with a 4.0 average.

Libby earned a degree in psychology at Lee University, Cleveland, TN, also with honors. She is presently a resident of Nashville.

They are granddaughters of George and Mariwyn McClain Smith of Thomas, and Mush and Judy Lambert of Pierce, and great-granddaughters of Bernice Hipp of Elkins, Abe and Jean Myers of Parsons, and Delores Roberts-Auvil of Baltimore and Hendricks.
