Accident

Load recover, wrecker and utility employees work to clear the roadway after a log truck overturned on US219 north, close to Tucker County High School. Local fire departments, EMS and law enforcement also assisted on scene.  According to a press release from the Tucker County Sheriffs department the vehicle was traveling north bound on US219.  The driver executed a left hand turn, the trailer broke loose from the rear axels; this caused the trailer to overturn onto the passenger side.  The vehicle slid toward the right side of the road.  The logs on the trailer were thrown off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole which was located on the eastern side of US219.  The tractor also overturned and came to a stop on it’s passenger side in the north bound lane of travel.
