It’s back to school and time for the Back to School Model Railroad Open house. The Mon Valley Railroad Historical Society, Inc. located at 5000 Green Bag Road, Morgantown, WV in the Mountaineer Mall will open its doors for a model railroad extravaganza on Saturday, Aug. 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, Aug. 30 from noon to 4 p.m.. Admission is free! Donations are gladly accepted.
Come see all the work we have accomplished on our new HO scale layout, O gauge model railroad and N scale model railroad for your viewing pleasure. All our layouts represent West Virginia and the railroads that served our region. Trains will be running through the hills, across rivers and through towns all day long.
We will have six White Elephant tables with all kinds of used LIONEL and HO train items for sale. Free magazines, railroad postcards, tourist railroad and hobby shop information along with railroad historical displays. We will have pencils and color-sheets for the children!
