ELKINS, W.Va. – Christopher Conrad, DO, FACEP, FACOEP, an emergency physician with extensive experience in rural healthcare, has been named Emergency Department Director for Vandalia Health Davis Medical Center and Vandalia Health Webster Memorial Hospital.

As Emergency Department Director, Dr. Conrad will lead emergency medicine services at both hospitals, partnering with physicians, nurses and clinical staff to advance quality, patient-centered care and strengthen emergency services across the region.

Dr. Conrad is an experienced emergency physician and healthcare leader who has dedicated his career to serving patients in rural West Virginia. He has held numerous physician leadership positions throughout the region, bringing extensive experience in emergency medicine, clinical operations and team leadership.

He is board certified in emergency medicine and is a Fellow of both the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians.

For Dr. Conrad, the new role marks a return to a region he knows well. A Braxton County native, he previously cared for patients at Webster Memorial Hospital while serving in physician leadership roles.

“Having the opportunity to continue serving patients in rural West Virginia is both a privilege and an honor,” Dr. Conrad said. “I’m excited to work alongside the exceptional teams at both Webster Memorial Hospital and Davis Medical Center to continue providing quality emergency care for our patients and communities.”

“Dr. Conrad is an accomplished physician leader with a deep understanding of the unique healthcare needs of rural communities,” said Diana Landsverk, MBA, MSN, RN, NE-BC, Chief Administrative Officer of Vandalia Health Davis Medical Center. “His collaborative leadership style, clinical expertise and commitment to patient-centered care make him an outstanding addition to our leadership team. We are excited to welcome him and look forward to the positive impact he will have across our region.”

“As someone who has dedicated much of his career to serving this region, Dr. Conrad understands our community and the importance of providing exceptional care close to home,” said Bill Dempsey, Chief Administrative Officer of Vandalia Health Webster Memorial Hospital. “His leadership, compassion and commitment to rural healthcare will be tremendous assets to both of our hospitals and, most importantly, to the patients and families we serve.”
