Elkins, WV – Davis Medical Center’s (DMC) Cardiovascular Lab earned validation as a leader in vascular testing with accreditation for outstanding quality in the areas of Extracranial Cerebrovascular Testing, Peripheral Venous Testing, and Peripheral Arterial Testing. The Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) granted them a three-year term of accreditation.
“To achieve this accreditation, we met high quality metrics and underwent an intensive review of our cardiovascular lab processes by a panel of medical experts,” said DMC Radiology Director Debbie Dean, MS, R.T. (R), (N), (M). “It’s a ‘seal of approval’ that patients can rely on Davis Medical to provide a consistently high level of cardiovascular care and commitment to continuous improvement.”
According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the No. 1 killer in West Virginia, accounting for nearly a quarter of the state’s deaths.
