The Daughters of the Blackwater Chapter held a party at Cortland Acres Nursing Home for all the Veterans that were patients living there.
Some were unable to come to the party and refreshments were taken to them. There were several Veterans attending. Two Veterans, Fred Myers and Charles Showalters, came to help.
Wanda Booth, regent, welcomed all the Veterans to the celebration. Daughter attending were: Wanda Booth, regent, Linda Bates, Sue Silk and Betty Knicely.
With the help from some of the staff at Cortland Acres the DAR served cake, ice cream, corn puffs and soda to all the Veterans.
