State police and the FBI use the prints to conduct state and national background checks, “required for students to complete their classroom observation hours in the public schools,” said Dr. Suzanne Goodall, Eastern’s elementary education program coordinator.

Eastern offers two pathways to the bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, partnering with Shepherd University and WVU-Parkersburg. For more information, interested learners should call Goodall at 304-434-8000, or toll-free: 877-982-2322.
