The Parsons Parks and Recreation Commission announced that new trail lighting is underway in Mill Race Park. Recently park staff has been working alongside Electrician Michael Cummings installing trail lighting on the north end of the park. Each pole features an LED lighting fixture and electrical outlets. Once all of the light poles are in place, a video surveillance system will be installed on the poles throughout the park. All cameras will be monitored 24 hours a day. The PPRC is also planning to utilize the same poles to install public wifi next year. All improvements are being made possible from a Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant and the William Mahan Harman Memorial Fund.
