The Tucker County Senior Citizens held their monthly Outpost at the Parsons Center on March 4, 2019. Evelyn Moore welcomed everyone. Everyone recited the Lord’s Prayer and gave the Pledge of Allegiance. Linda Bonner read the minutes of the February meeting and they were approved as read. Those having a March birthday were recognized. They were: Brenda Jones, Evelyn Moore, Jim Buddingh, Mary Grado, and Earl Moore. We also had several of the folks with March birthdays who could not make it in today. The group then sang “Happy Birthday” to them.

Readings included: “Sunshine and Laughter” by Arlene Ramsey, “It Must Be Spring” by Meg Buddingh, “Daylight Saving Time” by Linda Bonner, “Daylight Saving Time” by Jean Morrison, and “Ireland” by Evelyn Moore.

Linda then announced some of the upcoming trips and the payment due dates. She also announced that there would be a guest speaker tomorrow to tell us about an egg decorating craft we might be interested in doing.

The program was then turned over to Meg and Jim Buddingh.  They entertained us with several selections including: “Lighthouse on a Hilltop”, “Green Green Grass of Home”, “Coat of Many Colors”, “The Old Spinning Wheel”, “Oh Danny Boy”, “My Wild Irish Rose”, “When Irish Eyes are Smiling”, “I’ll Take You Home Again Kathleen”, “When the Red Red Robin Comes Bobbing Along”, and “Because He Lives”. The crowd enjoyed joining along on several songs.

The blessing on the food was asked by Jim Buddingh before we enjoyed a wonderful meal.

Door Prizes were won by: Brenda Jones, Randolph Lipscomb, Ida Workman, and Jim Buddingh.
