DAVIS, W.Va. – The Tucker County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an evening of events during the West Virginia Harley Owners Group’s (HOG) 2014 Rally.

On Friday July 18, up to 300 Harley Davison motorcycles will converge in East Avenue (Front Street) in Thomas from 6:15 until 10 p.m. to enjoy activities sponsored by the Chamber. “One of the many events that we are excited about is the People’s Choice Bike Show where the general public can be the judges” said Steve Drumheller, Chamber board member. “For a small donation, anyone can “purchase” votes and help us select the People’s Choice Champion” said Drumheller.

Other events will include, live music, famous Rotary Club chicken, firemen’s water battle, a “Poker Walk”. The evening will start around 6:15 p.m. with a Rt. 32 “Bike Parade” through Davis and on to Thomas. Attendees are estimated to reach up to 300 Harley Davidson motorcycles and the public is encouraged to watch the bikes go through town. When the parade reaches Thomas, the bikes will be parked on the east side of East Avenue (Front Street) and the festivities will begin.

“The public is encouraged to attend and participate in these activities. There will be some great food and live music” said Bill Smith, Chamber Executive Director. “Without the support of the City of Thomas, Performance Motors, Canaan Valley Resort and Timberline Four Seasons Realty, this evening would not have been possible. Those folks really helped out” said Smith.

At approximately 6 p.m. on that Friday evening, parking on the East side (shop side) of East Avenue will be restricted to motorcycles. For more information on this or other Chamber of Commerce events, contact the office at 304-259-5315.
