The Tucker County Commission held a special session on Wednesday, July 2 for the purpose of hiring personnel.

The commission in a unanimous vote hired Ben Kisamore for the Maintenance/Custodian position left vacant by Pitzer’s retirement. Kisamore will begin his duties on July 16, 2014.

Barbie Evans will be leaving her position as Deputy County Clerk to start her own business. Evans is the new owner of Buttercup Bakery. County Clerk, Sherry Simmons stated, “I wish Barbie the best. She is a dedicated employee and will be sadly missed.”

Wendy Nedrow was hired to fill the vacated Deputy Clerk position by a unanimous vote of the commissioners. Nedrow will start her position on July 16, 2014.

The commissioners stated that all applicants were reviewed with careful consideration and expressed their thanks for the interest shown in the two positions.
