Pastor Allen Dale Crosten

Pastor Allen Dale Crosten, age 75 years, a resident of Parsons, WV, departed this life Sunday morning, February 19, 2017 at his home. He attended Thomas Grade School and was a graduate of Parsons High School with the Class of 1959.

He was a mechanic, working for his father at Crosten’s Sales and Service and was a former Service Manager for Motor City Datsun of Elkins. Crosten had a calling in the ministry and Pastored at the First Baptist Church in Parsons from 1986 until his retirement in 2015.

He had a great love for the Lord, his family, his church family and friends and loved spending time on his front porch reminiscing. Crosten enjoyed working with the youth, ministering thru bible school, church camp, church gym and several other activities such as coaching little league football, basketball and baseball. He could be seen fishing the riverbanks, feeding the birds and attending his grand – children’s sport activities.

Crosten will be remembered for his unique sense of humor, tremendous compassion and great love for the Lord. See the complete obituary on page 3 in this week’s edition of The Parsons Advocate.
