Annette Fetty-Santilli of Philippi, Community Partner for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network PanCAN) in West Virginia was one of the top fundraisers at the annual Pittsburgh PurpleStride: the Walk to End Pancreatic Cancer on Saturday, April 27.  She raised over $15,000 as captain of Team West Virginia for the event.

The Pittsburgh PurpleStride is one of the nation’s Top 10 PurpleStrides, and raised over $470,000.  Team West Virginia raised over $16,000, which was good enough for 4th place.  Both Annette and pancreatic cancer survivor Carol Adams Miller of Parkersburg were both members of the Grand Club for raising over $1,000.

On Saturday, April 27, there were 60 PurpleStrides all over the nation.  Two PurpleStrides, Los Angles and New York City, raised over $1,000,000 each.

Annette has been volunteering for PanCAN since her 38-year old brother passed away from pancreatic cancer.  In 2016, she was named the 2016 National PanCAN Community Advocate of the Year, and served on the National Volunteer Advisory Council.

For more information about PanCAN in West Virginia contact Annette at 304-621-3648 or asantilli@pancanvolunteer.org or join the West Virginia – Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Facebook group.
