Sewer lines around the Town of Davis have needed dug up between 10 to 13 feet deep in the recent rains, Mayor Al Tomson said Wednesday May 29th. The necessity stemmed from a hole in the line and a vacuum truck line that became stuck just after the Memorial Day holiday.
“There was a real debacle today with the sewer,” Tomson said. “There was a hole in one of the lines. Then we had Parsons come up last night with their vacuum truck and their hose got stuck in a different line.”
The crews were working the Tuesday following the holiday, Tomson said.
“The guys were working in the rain all day, in the mud, doing the things that they needed to do to repair,” Tomson said. “We really appreciate what they did.”
A boil order in the Town of Davis over Memorial Day weekend was also lifted. The order stemmed from a main water line that was broken the week prior.
