New luxury cabin rentals bring a taste of home to Canaan Valley. The Valley View Cabin Resort in Canaan Valley had its grand opening Friday, May 30th.
The project was borne of a love of adventure and the great outdoors, according to Managing Partner Chris Waters.
“Canaan Valley is a special place,” Waters said. “There’s not many places where the mountains are this tall, the valleys are this wide, the trees are green and the sky is blue and the birds sing 24-7. This truly is one of the most beautiful places in West Virginia.”
The Cabins are located nestled between the National Wildlife Refuge and just down the road from Timberline Resort. The location is also conveniently located close to other businesses and amenities in Canaan Valley.
“From a location standpoint its just surrounded by mountains. This is just awesome,” Waters said.
Valley View offers one and two bedroom luxury cabins complete with all the amenities of home such as complete kitchens, large screen televisions and washers and dryers. Some amenities that are a step above include gas fireplaces, ski closets, hot tubs and fire pits. Waters said he feels that what makes Valley View different is the details.
“Pretty much the details and the experience,” Waters said. “That’s two things that we really try to push here is we’re not accommodations, we’re an experience. When someone comes here to stay, we want them to leave thinking about the hike that maybe they went on, but we want them to dream about coming back here and staying in one of the nicest places they’ve ever stayed in.”
Waters said that Valley View is striving to bring a new energy and vibe to Canaan Valley and with it a new kind of tourist. Waters said that he hopes that the Cabins will bring people from not only outside, but inside of the state as well to the area.
Future plans for the Resort include the completion of a spa that is currently under construction at the site.
The Grand Opening festivities included a catered luncheon, attendees from around Tucker County, as well as representatives from West Virginia State government and live music.
