St. George Clinic Pharmacy celebrated two years recently at their Parsons location. Staff braved the windy conditions to man a tent with free food in order to thank the community for their support. The pharmacy was also giving away items as part of the festivities.  “We’re excited to be able to thank the public for their support over the past two years,” Amanda Smith, Pharmacy Director said.  “We’ve been busy since opening and are growing every day.”

Paul Wamsley, Executive Director, was also on hand for the event. “Celebrations had been delayed the past couple of years due to COVID,” Wamsley said.  “We just want to give back to the community for all their support.”

According to Smith, the pharmacy currently fills 6,000 to 7,000 prescriptions each month, many through their successful Drive-Thru window.  Even during the celebrations, the drive-thru remained busy with several vehicles pulling through to utilize the window. “COVID changed the world,” Smith said.  “We’re a drive-thru community now.”

Also on hand were members of the Tucker County High School Pharmacy Tech Program.  Smith said the pharmacy works with the school and hosts students in the program Weekday mornings through the end of the school year. “They are very helpful,” Smith said.  ‘They are learning about the world of pharmacy.”

Wamsley said the pharmacy offers the 340B discount program. According to Wamsley, the program was designed to help customers with out-of-pocket costs.  According to Wamsley, the program is designed for low-income individuals as well as those who have third party insurance.  In the case of a third party insured individual, it helps with out-of-pocket costs for prescriptions that have high out-of-pocket costs.

The St. George Clinic Pharmacy is located at 221 Pennsylvania Avenue in Parsons.  The Pharmacy offers both walk up and drive-thru pick-up of prescriptions.  The lobby is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m.to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The Drive-Thru is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
